How to Wear and Take off a Face Mask Properly

For most of us wearing face masks is fairly new territory. However, since the latest recommendations from WHO and CDC to wear a face mask or cloth face covering when out in public and social distancing is not possible, this is quickly becoming a new normal when making our weekly trip to the supermarket!

But what are the best methods to put them on and take them off? Here are some useful tips:

1.Wash or sanitise your hands before handling your face mask. You want to make sure your hands are free from any bacteria to avoid contaminating your mask.

2.Pick your face mask up by the ear loops. Without touching the mask, bring the loops to your ears and secure as tightly as possible.

3.Ensure the mask covers your nose and mouth. Face masks help to prevent you from releasing bacteria into the air by covering your nose and mouth.

4.Adjust the face mask to cover your chin. Tuck your mask beneath your chin for a comfortable and secure fit.

5.Be sure the mask is secure around the bridge of your nose. Our face masks come with a removable nose wire to ensure a snug fit and to prevent the mask from slipping down your nose when wearing.

6.Remove the mask by the ear loops. Without touching the front or inside of your mask, remove the loops from behind your ears to take off the mask, and place in the washing machine.
